Description
Green Toilet 100 Easy is a composting toilet that can be used both in an outhouse or indoors. All toilet waste, the liquids, and solids together with the toilet paper go into the same composting container. The special double base of Green Toilet efficiently separates the excess liquid from the compost mass, which is the key feature for composting and preventing odor problems.
Green Toilet 100 Easy is suitable for 4-5 persons in seasonal use, eg. in a holiday home and for 2-3 persons in continuous use. Like the other Green Toilets, there is a spare container available for the Green Toilet Easy as well. The use of a spare container doubles the capacity of the system and makes the service easy. One does not have to handle any raw compost at any point.

Use of Green Toilet 100 Easy
Green Toilet Easy is used like any other composting toilet. All the waste go into same container and the inner structure of the toilet takes care of the separation of the excess liquid. Some bulking material is recommended to be used: peat, dry garden waste, saw dust or equivalent. The dry material can be added by the users (2-3 dl after every use) or separately as a service, eg 1-2 / week a bigger amount, 5-7 liters. The suitable amount depends on the level of the use.
The excess liquid, which is not absorbed to the compos mass or dehydrated by ventilation, will flow out through the liquid hose from the back. It can be collected to a canister or alternatively filtered with GeoTrap Dry Toilet Filter and through that absorbed to the ground.
When the installation is made to indoors, an electrical duct fan is highly recommended. That will ensure odorless use in all circumstances.
Service
When Green Toilet Easy becomes full, it is time for service. The liquid hose as well as the ventilation pipe is unfastened from the toilet. The wheels are placed under the toilet. All this can be done without any tools. Then the toilet can be wheeled out of the outhouse or bathroom. The compost inside the toilet can either be turned over to a garden compost or left to decompose under the closed lid of a Green Toilet 100 Easy spare container. The spare container can be let to decompose until it is time for the next service. Thus it is possible to have an efficient and carefree composting system where the compost from the spare container can be used safely in the garden.
Installation of Green Toilet 100 Easy is flexible
Green Toilet Easy can be installed directly on the floor to a free space in the outhouse or bathroom. There should be a possibility to lead the ventilation pipes as well as the liquid hose out through the back of the toilet. The ventilation can be installed from the back (default) or from the top of the toilet.
The liquid hose should go out from the back and it should run at least slightly down to ensure the flow of the liquid out. The wheels are put under the toilet only during the service.

What factors affect the composting process?
✅ Usage frequency – Composting takes time. If the toilet is used frequently without enough time for decomposition, the container will fill up faster.
✅ Temperature – Composting is faster in summer, while in winter, the process slows down or may even stop.
✅ Ventilation – Proper airflow speeds up decomposition and reduces odor issues.
✅ Container size
• A larger container retains heat better and enhances decomposition since more energy and microbes accumulate in the compost mass.
• A bigger container holds more waste, extending the emptying interval.
✅ Use of cover material – Cover material absorbs moisture, improves compost structure, and accelerates decomposition.
✅ Urine separation – Affects moisture balance: drier compost breaks down more efficiently.
How should excess liquid (leachate) from a composting toilet be handled?
Using a composting toilet typically generates some excess liquid known as leachate. This liquid is usually collected in a separate canister. While it contains valuable nutrients and can be considered an eco-friendly fertilizer, it may also include fecal bacteria and should therefore not be used directly on edible plants.
To reduce the bacterial content, the leachate can be stored in a sealed container for at least a year — for example, frozen over winter — which significantly lowers the risk.
Untreated leachate can be safely used as fertilizer for non-edible plants, such as ornamental shrubs and trees. It’s important to ensure that the application site is at least 30 meters (about 100 feet) away from any water sources, such as wells, ditches, ponds, or shorelines. Rotate the application area each time to avoid nutrient buildup and make the most of recycling nutrients on your own property.

Green Toilet 100 Easy has a double base, which will allow the excess liquid to flow out but also some of the liquid to be absorbed backwards to the composting mass. This feature ensures reliable composting process.
Easy service
With the help of sturdy wheels and good grips, the service is effortless. The emptying is made through the door. There is no need to make any holes to the back of the toilet for service.
Spare container for easy composting
A spare container with a closed lid makes the maintenance even easier. When the composting chamber in the toilet in use becomes full, it is taken out and covered with the closed lid. It can be left to decompose until the next service.
Indoor use
Green Toilet Easy can also be installed indoors. If possible, an electrical duct fan should be installed to the ventilation line to ensure the air flow.
Ventilation can be led in different ways
Easy’s ventilation pipe can be pulled out either directly from the back of the device or alternatively directly up and out from the top of the toilet. You can also choose the side; either on the right or on the left side of the toilet.
