Solar fan for composting toilets

Description

A solar-powered electric fan designed for composting toilets and other spaces where electricity is not available. The system includes a 6000 mAh battery that stores power so the fan continues to operate even when the solar panel is not producing energy.

The fan unit can be installed directly inside a 110 mm ventilation pipe. With reducers, it can also be connected to a 75 mm pipe (reducers sold separately).

The fan ensures that the ventilation in a composting toilet works in the correct direction. This prevents odors from entering the room and directs the air safely outside through the ventilation pipe. Efficient ventilation is also beneficial for composting toilets, as it supports the composting process and helps reduce the amount of excess liquid produced.

The solar panel comes with a 4.5 meter cable, allowing it to be installed further away from the fan in a location with better sunlight exposure. The cable between the fan and the battery is 50 cm. A mounting bracket for the solar panel is also included.

Thanks to the efficient solar panel, the fan can run while the battery is charging. On a bright summer day, the battery typically charges fully in 2–5 hours, while in cloudier conditions charging may take 6–8 hours. A full battery powers the fan for approximately 12–15 hours, which easily covers evening and nighttime operation.
